Hi #plannerbabes! It’s Nita here to share this quick DIY folder. All planner girls love a good DIY. I wanted to create this project using supplies I already had in my craft stash. So let’s jump right into the this tutorial. Here is the list of supplies needed:
- A ruler or Paper Cutter
- Glue Stick
- Mommy Lhey Inspired Flora Stamp Set
- Mommy Lhey Bossy Boss Stamp Set
- Large Gold Paper Clip
- Hot Glue Gun
- White Card Stock
So let’s get started, the first step to creating your folder is to decide how large or small you would like your folder to be. Once you have your desired size, fold your paper in half, but leave a half-inch margin on the side. By leaving the extra space on the margin, it allows for you to punch the folder into your planner later without messing up your design.
The next step is to select a variety of stamp sets. I chose the Inspired Flora and Bossy Boss because they both had a selection of large and small stamps that also included words. When selecting your stamps, think of it like a puzzle, what stamps would fit together well. Now let’s begin stamping! Remember you can create any style or pattern you like, HAVE FUN! Once your folder is completely stamped, then it’s time to color.
Once your folder is completely stamped and colored, it’s time to assemble your folder. Add glue to bottom edge and outside edge, this will create your pocket. Once your folder is dry, it’s ready for action. I also created the paper clip by stamping and coloring the boss lady stamp on cardstock that was folded in half. By folding the paper in half, this allowed me to fussy two die cuts instead of one. I added the paper clip in between the two pieces of paper by using my glue gun.
