Hey Girls! It’s a new month for us and I’m so excited to share with you my first blog for the month of November ♥ Sadly, I haven’t receive my October Little Bits box because as you all know I’m from the Philippines so happy mails takes a while to get here. Let me show you my DIY crafty project using some of the stuffs inside the September Little Bits box instead.
On my previous blog posted I also used the ephemeras and stickers for the September Little Bits to design my Month layout. The theme was “Enchanted Forest”. I had fun using this set because of the color hues. I love pastel colors especially PINK ♥ Anyway, I always wanted to make some shaker cards and new dashboard for my planner so I asked my Santa if we can drop by a local craft store to purchase a fuse tool luckily, he said “YES!”.
Perfect timing that the September Little Bits box has sequins included so I was able to do my very first shaker dashboard. There are 3 gold foiled card stocks which are designed back to back. You will really appreciate all the contents of the Little Bits because it was personally designed and drawn by her. Oh yes, how I wish I’m also blessed by her talent haha.
First to make my dashboard I just cut the card stocks into the size I wanted which is personal size (A6). I’ve used the adorable ephemeras included on the Little Bits and also some of the stickers from the stickers sheet. What I love most about the stickers that came with the Little Bits is that they are gold foiled. I’ve also included snapshots of the stickers for reference.
After putting them together I just used some recycle clear plastics from the clear books I got and started to seal them. You have to slowly slide the fuse tool to make sure that it will properly seal the ends of the plastics because if you will slide it fast it will not melt it. Be careful as well not to touch the metal part of the fuse tool because its hot.
Here you go, I was able to make 3 dashboards for my planners and im so happy with the outcome. I also tried making a smaller shaker card for my pocket size planner. Hopefully next time I can share a video on how to make it. Sorry don’t have a tripod yet for my camera. Hope you like it!
