Hello sweet planner friends! It’s Cammy here. How was your week? I hope it was good!
Today I’m here to share with you how you can incorporate MommyLhey’s stamps in your DIY embellishments! I’ve made some tags with the new Summer Vibe stamp set, and I hope it’ll inspire you to try making some of your own DIY tags ☺
First things first, you will need:
Colour pencils/watercolor/copic markers (whichever you use to color!)
Ink pad (I’m using the Queen of the Night pigment ink)
Scrap paper/patterned paper
Let’s get started!
I stamped the images onto regular A4 paper, left them to dry for about 15 minutes (just to make sure I wont smudge the ink when I colour them in!) While waiting, I cut some tags out. The size and height is completely up to you! Go crazy!
I coloured the images in and fussy cut them out with a pair of sharp scissors. Now it’s time to assemble our tags! If you’d like, you can use these images as ephemera too. (which is what I love to do!)
I’d added foam dots behind some elements to make them stand out on the tag, you can choose to do so, or skip this – it’s entirely up to you! 🙂 I also added some summer-themed washi tape that goes well with the colours. The enamel dots I used are from January’s Little Bits box – they are perfect for adding texture and dimension to your projects!
Last but not least, I stamped the word sentiments onto each tag using Mommylhey’s Pigment inks. I also drew a border using a fine-tip pen just to create a frame for my tag. To make it look more finished, I cut a small strip of washi tape and stuck it on the top of the tag before I punched holes. Your tags are all done, ready to be used as embellishments, bookmarks, or just to look pretty in your planner/scrapbook album!
I hope you enjoyed my post. See you soon! xx
