Hello Everyone, Leslie here, and I get to share with you how I prep and decorate my Gratitude Journal using the February, “Fresh Pick”, Little Bits Kit. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the very talented Mommy Lhey and all of the amazing design team, I thought it would be fitting for my Plan With Me to be on gratitude. This kit is filled with so much juicy planner goodness. Adorable Stickers, die cuts, double sided paper, strawberry washi tape, watermelon sticky notes and so much more. All designed by Mommy Lhey.
For my gratitude journal I am using pages from The Happy Planner Mini. It’s the perfect size for noting my gratitude each day. To start, I added the super vibrant strawberry washi to my pages, and also some of the washi sticker strips from the kit. The watermelon sticky notes in our kit are so fun, I thought they would be great to use for decoration and to journal on. I cut one in half and used the Prima Planner glue pen included in our kit to adhere them to the pages. Each Little Bits kit also contains 3 sheets of beautiful double sided paper with wonderful illustrations and designs by Mommy Lhey. I used the cute XOXO lemon paper for the bottom of Sunday for some added fun and interest.
When setting up my pages for my gratitude journal, I like to add lots of fun layers and elements throughout to break up the writing. It gives a really nice visual at the end once it’s all filled in. Our kits come with the best die cuts, and I used a few of the pieces along with more stickers from our kit and sprinkled them throughout the pages. Here on the left page, I used the gold foil heart sticker and the “Today is a Blessing” die cut for a few more dashes of cuteness. I then I used the exclusive stamp set, “Life Is Sweet” and stamped a column down each day in case I wanted to write my journal in a list format. There is no wrong way to write out a gratitude list or journal. Do what works best for you. I used Mommy Lhey’s pigment ink in Leafy Green to stamp the little icons down each page. The little girl eating the watermelon is just adorable.
On the right side, I cut more of the paper from our kit and added a tiny flag to the washi at the top, and also used the “XOXO” and “Love” die cuts to my page for more fun elements. The large watermelon sticky note is so vibrant and fun. I love to incorporate them into my planning and journaling.
Our kits also include some wonderful PL journal cards. I especially love this “Want Some Juicy Hug” card, and punched the card for a page marker and will also use it for more journaling space or a photo. Some days my gratitude is written out in a journal format, like for what I did on Monday for my husband’s birthday. Other days, I may list 2-3 items of things or people I am grateful for. When I sit down each morning to write out my gratitude, these pages bring such a warm smile to my face. It’s hard not to smile when you have all this cuteness laid out before you. I hope you give the gratitude journal a try and were inspired to have some more fun with the Little Bits Kits.
I would like to shout out a huge Thank You to Mommy Lhey for this amazing opportunity to be a part of her team. I am so inspired by her and her talent every day. I feel so fortunate to work with some amazing women on the design team and with our team leaders. It has been an honor. I am grateful beyond words. Happy Planning Everyone.
