Hi guys, it’s Nita from @neatlyplanned. I’m so excited to share how I created this fun card that will be mailed along with some very special Happy Mail. I love creating unique cards for my planner friends that can later be placed inside of their planners as dashboards.
Before we get started, here are the supplies you will need:
- Pair of scissors
- Elmer’s glue
- Color inkpads
- Blank stationary cards
- Mommy Lhey embellishments
- Resize and print Mommy Lhey digital image
- Markers or color pencils
- Green cardstock
- Small gift tag
- Pair of tweezers
Let’s get started! The first step to creating this card was to download the Mommy Lhey digital image from the May Little Bits. I resized it using Microsoft Word. Once I had it sized correctly I copied and pasted the image 3 more times for a total of 4 images per page. I like to print extras just in case I mess up.
Once the digital image was off the printer I selected my color theme. I used the May Little Bits floral die cut as my color inspiration. I then used my scissors to fussy cut the digital image out.
After I cut my digital image out I began to arrange my pieces on blank card. I used the new Inspired Flora June stamps to add some color by stamping blue flowers along the side of my card.
After the flowers were added I decided to use my green Memento ink to outline my teal blue flowers and help fill in some of the white space. I also used a scrap of lime card stock to stamp the word graphic from the Inspired Flora set. This really pulled my card together. I used my scissors to fussy cut the word graphic as well. Now its time to assemble all the pieces to my card, I glued the gift tag horizontally and then I attached my word graphic to the end of it.
I glued my colored doll to the center of the gift card for symmetry.
My card still felt like it was missing something. I looked around and I decided to use those beautiful sequins from the May Little Bits Box. I used a scrap sheet of paper to make a small tray for my glue. I used a pair of tweezers to strategically place each sequins.
My final touch was gluing down my floral die cut in the corner! I hope you ladies have fun creating your next card. Until next time…
