It’s Stephanie [IG: @beautybystarlet] back again with another exciting DIY post! If you’ve been following the Mommylhey blog, you’ll know that I have recently learned how to make Shakers Cards! I decided to try out this technique and make personal sized dashboards for my planner!
In this project, I used the stamp set “Magical You” and chose stamped out my favorite images and sentiment for this project. I also took out this incredible unicorn paper and sequins from a previous Little Bits Box.
Next, add some color to those adorable images! I use my favorite copic markers to create make the characters really pop! <3
For the sentiment, I took out some glitter and my Versamark Ink Pad to wet emboss these images!
For the dashboard cutouts, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out a dashboard cutout along with a “window” for my shaker cards! I also used the same technique as my last blog post to create the border around each window. You’ll also need a clear acetate sheet for both sides of the dashboard this time.
Start by sandwiching the pink cutouts inside of the acetate sheets. Following along in these photos to see my steps. <3
I used the extra inserts on the bottom to allow for an even distribution of thickness in the middle of the dashboard.
Add in your sequins and TA-DA!! You’re done! I did two versions creating one image with the character inside of the window and another on the outside. Which is your favorite?
I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post! Be sure to tag me on IG [@beautybystarlet] as I would love to see your shaker creations!!
