When I opened my very first Little Bits Box I was absolutely amazed with the amount of thought and detail of this box. The box was full of stamps, stickers, embellishments, die cuts and so many more items. So of course I have the tough choice of deciding what to use. PGP (Planner Girl Problems)
After sorting through the stickers I realized they are the perfect size for my Mini Happy Planner®. I’m asked weekly how do I create my layouts for this planner. I thought it would be fun to give it a shot using Mommy Lhey sticker. When creating any layout I choose one sticker as my inspiration. When I created this layout I selected the pink haired doll. I used this sticker to pull out the color scheme for my entire layout.
The most important thing when creating a small layout is being very strategic with sticker placement. I usually will select one larger sticker for each page and a few small stickers. I love for my layouts to have fun, and whimsical elements but I also still need writing space.
I love to experiment with layering my stickers to create fun corners on my pages. I used the 3D puff stickers to add dimension to my layout. I love for my pages to feel like they are jumping off the page. I also like to experiment with deconstructing stickers to fit my layout. I used this technique when I cut out the small oval doll from a square sticker. My favorite saying to planner newbies is “There no right or wrong ways to plan. Have fun and enjoy the creative process.”
