Hello Lovely Planner Peeps. Leslie here, and I get to share with you on the blog today my November month on 2 pages spread, with a focus on the Amazing Mommy Lhey Design stamps and September Little Bits kit. To start, I organized all the stamps, pigment inks, and Little Bits and laid them all out. The inks I used are from the Serenity Set on the left, primarily the Tainted Brown, and Midnight Sky. The inks on the right are from the Jelly Bean Set, mainly Peonie Pink and Lavender! The Stamps used are from Enchanted Forest in the September Little Bits kit, Officially Fall, Bold & Chic, and Scripty Months! And, of course, fun paper pieces, which are double sided, and die cuts from the September kit.
I decided to cover the top section on both sides with the wood grain paper, and then the days of the week on the two pages that are not a part of the month of November, (Oct. 30 & 31, and Dec 1, 2, 3) using the Owl side of the paper and wood grain. Next I blocked out the days we would be out of town for our Thanksgiving Family Vacation with a thin strip of the foiled turquoise paper and a cloud I cut out from the Forest paper. You could always use washi tape for this, but I really like this paper.
When setting up my monthly outlook, I try to remember that it is just a quick over view. So I consult my google calendar and look for specific events, dates, and appointments that I want to highlight. This helps me so I don’t double book myself in the future. In looking at the left side first, I used the “November” stamp from the Scripty Months for my header with the Midnight Sky Ink, and made a page flag from the turquoise paper with layers of stickers and paper bits to note Daylight Savings. I also used a Banner stamp from the Bold & Chic Collection in Peonie Pink ink to highlight election day. The little Mushroom is from the Enchanted Forest stamp set with the Tinted Brown ink.
For the header on the right side I layered the Foxy washi from the September Little Bits kit, and stamped “I Heart Fall” in Midnight sky Ink. I love how the banner stamp using Peonie Pink ink, from the Bold & Chic set, frames the Goals column on the far right. I highlighted more dates with the additional banner stamps and the busy bee stamp (from the Enchanted Forest set) using Midnight Sky, Lavender and Peonie pink inks. I used Tinted Brown ink with the Officially Fall stamps to make notes under the Goals columns with the acorns, and the Fox coffee cup on Thanksgiving Day. Cutest coffee cup ever!
Finally putting it all together, I added more layers of embellishments with all the cute Forest creatures, like the squirrel, bears, and bunnies. I also stamped throughout the layout with one of the florals from the Scripty Months set in the Tainted Brown Ink. I think this is fast becoming my favorite color of her inks. I wrote in a few of the important events coming up, and I am sure this month will continue to fill up fast. How do you use the Mommy Lhey stamps or Little Bits? Share in comments or on Instagram.
