Hi Planner Friends! Celene here! Do you love Traveler’s Notebooks as much as I do? I never thought I would love them then when I was still using my ring planners. But when I started using a Pocket size TN, I was instantly captured by them because they’re handy, compact and very easy to use. Just between us, but I really think I’ve found Planner (Size!) Peace in Pocket TNs. Haha! So when Mommy Lhey came up with her own line of TNs and I found out that there will be a pocket sized one, I am literally jumping for joy! And double hooray for all the designs are super super pretty — Pink-A-Dot, Back to Basic and the newest addition, Primrose! Plus who can resist the gorgeous heart charm (that says ‘Blessed’) on it too? Oh, I know you love them all like I do!
Today, I’m here to show you how I’ve set-up my Mommy Lhey Pink-a-Dot Pocket Traveler’s Notebook. I have been feeling under the weather lately and there’s nothing like crafting and setting up a pretty new TN to cheer one’s self up, right? Right!
So, here we go!
I’ll start with the Left Pockets: I decorated my left pocket with cut-out doilies in lavender and fuschia, layering both pieces on the top pocket, then on the bottom pocket I inserted a journaling card from the June Little Bits Kit which I have carefully fussy cut to make the sun and cloud images pop out. I then got one floral and one statement ephemera which I really like from my Little Bits ephemera stash and pinned it on the outer bottom pocket using the most adorable cactus paperclip by Mommy Lhey. This paperclip is from the June Little Bits Box.
When setting up a pocket TN, I always prepare about 3 to 4 dashboards. I use them to cover my printed pocket TN notebooks. The size I use to cut/trim my pocket dashboards to is 7 ¼ x 5 ½ inches. Sometimes I would adjust a few quarter/s of an inch if I want it to be slightly bigger than usual.
My first dashboard is a cardstock from the Believe in Magic (April) Little Bits Box. It is the blush pink cardstock with the cute baby unicorns on them. On the front, I glued on a dashboard card that says ‘Believe in Magic’. I accentuated it with washi tapes and stickers. For the pockets inside, I cut a strip from the leftover of the same cardstock and fussy cut on the top to create a fun pocket flap. I carefully glue the sides and the bottom and adhere it to the inside of my dashboard. I did the same for the other 2 dashboards too. Inside the pockets, I place Little Bits washi samples, ephemeras, sticky notes, mini stamps and journaling cards for on the go planning and decorating.
My second dashboard is a cardstock from the May Little Bits Box. It’s the one with geometric shapes/frame. I decorated it with matching stickers and ephemeras from the same month. That floral ephemera is the same one on the front cover! Love it!
My third dashboard is also a cardstock from the May Little Bits Box. It’s the pink one with hanging tassels on them. I decorated it with a glitter foam sticker that says ‘Wild & Free’. It is also from the May Little Bits Box. I added florals, arrows and feather ephemeras to complete the look.
I also printed some Digital Goodies on vellum paper and acetate and cut them to size.
Here’s a quick flip through of all of them coming together!
