Hello again lovely Mommy Lhey friends, Henny all over again. I wanted to share with you how I set up my Mommy Lhey Floral Pink-A Dot traveler’s notebook using Mommy Lhey August Little Bits Box. And this time, I decided to make a shaker planner dashboard. I love it so so much that I believe I’ll be making some more really soon!!
I just love making shakers, they are super fun. They are just an additional into your planner to make it more fun and whatever planner you decide to use, you can add it one into. If you have a ring bound, you can hole punch it and toss it in, and if you have a dori, you can tip it into your planner, or simply slip it into an existing pocket!
So in this blog I would like to share with you how I make a shaker dashboard for my traveler’s notebook out of the journal card and a sheet of patterned paper, and definitely some sequins. And you would definitely be needing a paper trimmer or scissor, adhesive, foam tape and some embellishments.
So as you can see I already have the patterned paper trimmed to fit into standard size traveler’s notebook following by laminating it just to have some thickness and make it more sturdy. And I had also have all the four sides cut out, and close the window up with a transparent film sheet.
So to create a dimensional frame shaker, I had this window frame glued down with some foam tapes on the back on every sides, and then before I have it attached to the paper, I have the journal card glued on the center where i wanted the position be and filled up with some sequins and such on the top of the journal card, then close it with the dimensional frame. I hope that makes sense.
I happened to be able to used up one of the product packagings, and turned it into one re-usable note list page marker bookmark tag. It needs to be laminated so I can use it over and over- write on with Sharpie or any waterproof permanent pen for smooth surfaces and wipe off with rubbing alcohol.
Don’t forget to also watch my flip through video of this traveler’s notebook set up on my Youtube channel.
Now, I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Share your projects on the Mommy Lhey Everything on Facebook group. We’d love to see your work!
Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather, wherever you are!
