It’s Roda (@rodascraps) here. Today I will be showing you a super quick 2 paper piecing Christmas card using Mommy Lhey’s design/products.
Mommy Lhey products used:
- Bloom in Christmas digital kit
- Kawaii Holiday Digital Kit
- Party Animals MLD 2016 (retired)
- YOLO (retiring)
- Diva ink set
- Big brush Christmas V1
First off, I searched a sweater image in Google.
Photo above is the one I am going to use. Printed it twice, one for dissection and one for the base. I resize the sweater about 3 ¼” tall and 3 ¾” wide. Then resize the design paper and print. As you can see photo below, I dissect the sweater then traced the paper according to the part of the sweater. After that, I paste the pieced sweater into the base.
This is what it looks like when pieced together. Using ML Queen of the night ink, I stamped a peeking image from Party Animals MLD 2016 (retired) and colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers for embellishment. Then colored the background with (It’s Red) ink from Diva set. And here is my first card!
For the second card. I followed same piecing instructions as above but using different paper design. Using Queen of the Night ink, I stamped an image from YOLO stamp set (retiring) and colored it in with Copic Markers. I also stamped the deer antler from Big Brush Christmas V1 set for the accessory.
I also used a stencil for the background then color it using Hampton Art ink in green to give it a different look. Then dubbed some stickles for sparkly effect. My 2nd card is complete!
Here is the final look:
I hope you enjoyed this post! Till next time!
